Passion and Purity: Learning to Bring Your Love Life Under Christ's Control
By
Elisabeth Elliot
Before I Kissed Dating Goodbye, there was Passion
and Purity. Taking her own life as
an example, Elizabeth Elliot guides singles on how to surrender their passion
and purity to our Lord Jesus Christ. Over a six year span from first seeing the
man she will marry till the day he finally proposed, she candidly traces her
own love story with Jim Elliot through letters, diary entries, and memories. Passion and Purity helps finding answers
on how to: love passionately while remaining sexually pure, decide whether or
not to marry, and who is the right one, the man’s and woman’s role in
relationships, putting God’s desires ahead of personal desires, and how
physically far is too far. Elizabeth
Elliot shows how putting God first comforted her through lonely times and
blessed her relationship once the right time presented itself. Whether you are single now, eyeing that
potential spouse, or already committed into a God-fearing relationship, this
book will aid your love life into a relationship honored and approved by God.

23 Minutes in Hell
By
Bill Wiese
Bill Wiese’s 23 Minutes in Hell focuses on a man who decides that missing one night of prayer isn’t a big deal. After going to bed that night, he was thrown in Hell and was allowed to feel pain, and suffering. He was also allowed to feel darkness. How can anyone feel darkness? He describes it as something that overpowers the mind; it eats at you from the inside. He tells of the gruesome creatures that inhibited Hades, and was tortured by them. This book explains how there is
not a single drop of water in Hell; it is completely void of any basic
needs. He writes every detail of the 23 minutes and explains how it
felt like an eternity. This book is not from long ago, in fact, it is
from our generation making it all the more scary that God needs to send
a message to wake us up.

The Way of a Pilgrim
While walking into church to attend Liturgy, the
pilgrim hears the reading of St.
Paul’s letter to the
Thessalonians which says “Pray constantly.” After hearing this, the
pilgrim makes it his life long quest to answer one question: how does one live
a life of continual prayer? The pilgrim asks, “How can it be possible for
a man to pray without ceasing when the practical necessities of life demand so
much attention”? This question, asked in the 19th century,
is still quite valid today. We follow the pilgrim as he journeys to find
the answer to this very practical question that affects all Christians.

God is: A Scientist Shows Why It Makes Sense to Believe in God
By
Alan Hayward
This is a must read for every Christian student who wants to defend his faith in the current atheistic environment of public school, anti-Christian media, and secularist social attitudes. It is written by a prominent scientist in a plain, simple language to refute and tear apart the mythology of evolution. We all know how the trend now is to attack the faith of the Christians, using the Darwinian Theory of Evolution (in its various forms) as a focal point to undermine the faith in God entirely. However, what these pseudo scientists fail to admit is that the theory of evolution is no more than “a theory” and a bad one at that, as more holes are found in its fabric every day. Multitudes of scientists who used to join the band wagon of evolution have already abandoned it after they realized how poor its concept is, and how it is unsupported by the evidence. It has become a matter of “faith” in evolution rather than faith in God for its advocates, as they defend it with blind zeal, and refuse to listen to any other point of view, even of fellow respected scientists.

Who Made God?: And Answers to Over 100 Other Tough Questions of Faith
By
Ravi Zacharias & Norman Geisler
This is a very interesting book, which helps to answer many very tough questions often raised by either non-believers or just by children of all ages.
Questions about the Holy Trinity, the purpose of evil in the world or where the universe came from, are usually bewildering and embarrassing to parents who are unprepared for their children’s insatiable curiosity. We are all subject to the same dilemma when we are faced with similar challenges by friends or colleagues.
This book answers many of these questions in a smart and profound way leaving no doubt about the truth and validity of the Christian faith.
